It's not an unknown fact that Malayalam actor Vinayakan has always known to be a trouble-maker of sorts, off the cameras. In what comes as a recent development, the Jailer and Dhruva Natchathiram actor has been detained at the Ernakulam police station in Kochi district for alleged misbehavior in an inebriated state.
It's being reported that the actor arrived at the police station, following a round of drinks and disrupted the routine activities with his words and actions. The police have filed a complaint against the actor and he will also be sent in for a thorough medical examination.

Apparently, the actor had summoned the police looking to dissolve a private dispute with his wife. Both parties were heard by the police, specifically in the presence of a female inspector, as per what is necessary according to the law. Disappointed by what Vinayakan presumed to be partiality shown towards his wife, he stormed into the police station and got into an argument with the said female inspector.
On entering the station premises, the actor was first fined for smoking. His eventual arguments with the station personnel led him to using abusive language, which worsened his situation.
Suspecting influence under alcohol, the police have sent the actor to the Ernakulam General Hospital for a detailed report. Turns out the actor tested positive for consumption of alcohol.
A video has emerged on the internet which captures the series of events that took place at the police station.
In his interaction with the media, the actor remains unaware of why has he been arrested and detained by the police. This isn't the first instance that the actor has been reported to have misbehaved. Following former CM Oommen Chandy's demise, the actor had passed insensitive remarks which led to a mob assaulting him at his residence. Earlier this year, airline carrier Indigo Airlines had filed a complaint against him for abusing a co-passenger onboard a Goa-Kochi flight.
