Director Bhushan Patel says that his forthcoming horror film ‘Alone’, featuring Bong beauty Bipasha Basu and TV actor Karan Singh Grover, is not entirely a rip-off of an eponymous Thai horror film. What’s more, the director clarifies that he has made his film keeping in mind the Indian audience’s taste.
Talking about the film, Bhushan recently said, “For ‘Alone’, we have adapted the screenplay of a Thai film of the same name, but keeping Indian audiences in mind. The story, interpersonal equations and the horror in Thai film ‘Alone’, caters to Thai audiences and that is very different from our audience’s taste.”
It’s noted that Bhushan has made films like ‘Ragini MMS 2’ earlier, which features porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and did quite well at the box office.“The basic premise of this film and the Thai film is same, but I have changed a lot in the film. When you’ll see the films and compare them, you will know it,” he added.
‘Alone’ is slated to release on January 16 next year. The film’s story is based on a conjoined twin, who had promised to be together always and how the death of one sister leads to a series of chilling incidents involving the surviving sister to believe that the ghost of her dead twin is haunting her.
