CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strong warning to students, parents, and other stakeholders to be cautious of fraudulent agents who claim to be able to quickly rectify duplicate mark sheets, certificates, and errors in official documents. The Board made it clear that these groups are not connected to or authorized by CBSE in any way, and trusting them could lead to wrong information, losing money, or other bad outcomes.
CBSE said that the only place to go for demands for replicate documents, revisions, or other academic services is its official website (www.cbse.gov.in). The advice is a "public interest" caution that tells the education community to keep alert and not fall for false claims.
Unverified platforms keep making misleading promises of faster document services. This has led CBSE to remind the public that it would not be responsible for any problems that come up when people use these channels.
To protect their personal, academic, and financial well-being, CBSE stakeholders should only use official, verified channels for board-related services and documents.
CBSE Introduces Open-Book Assessments (OBE) 2026-27
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given the go-ahead for Class 9 students to take Open-Book Assessments (OBAs) starting in the 2026–27 school year. The board's Governing Body approved this choice in June 2025. It is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2023, which both call for a move away from rote learning and towards competency-based evaluation.
In the new approach, Class 9 students will be able to use textbooks, class notes, and other approved materials for pen-and-paper assessments at the end of the semester in core subjects like language, mathematics, science, and social science. Schools will be able to choose whether or not to take part, but CBSE will give them guidelines and example papers that are the same for everyone to make sure the quality is high and the results are consistent.
