Indore – Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will be releasing listing norms for Startups in next seven days, SEBI Chairman UK Sinha said here on Saturday. Chief UK Sinha on Saturday said that listing norms for the Start Ups would be released within 7 days. “The process for releasing the listing norms for SEBI is on. It would be released in just 7 days,” Sinha said.

The SEBI boss was speaking to Free Press on the sidelines of the International Conference of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). “Very often, Startups are unable to evolve due to lack of capital. They abundantly depend on the venture capitalists for meeting their capital requirements,” Sinha said adding that SEBI board had made it easier for entrepreneur-driven new companies to list on stock exchange platforms with easier listing, shareholding and disclosure norms.

The SEBI chief said that a unified regulator for both the commodities market and equality market would emerge by the end of the September.

DII investment surges Sinha said that the investment of the Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) have risen tremendously.

“From January 2015 or in entire 2014-15, mutual funds had invested Rs 72000 crore in the equity market in only equality schemes. If you see present FY 2015-16 mutual funds, in just 3 months – April, May and June – have invested Rs 32000 crore in equality schemes.”
