BHOPAL : The Kamla Nagar police on Tuesday registered a case of abetment to suicide against two youth in connection with the suicide of 20-year-old Shubham Yadav, resident of Sudama Nagar, within the limits of Kamla Nagar police station area, whose body was recovered by the Ratibad police from Upper Lake near Goregaon village near Suraj Nagar on Monday morning.
TI, Kamla Nagar police station, Mukhtar Qureshi said that a case was registered against Rahul More, 22, son of Subhash More, resident of E-68 Junior MIG, Nehru Nagar and Dheeraj Kherkar, 24, son of Ashok Kherkar, resident of Jai Bheem Nagar in TT Nagar area. The accused were produced before the court from where they were sent to jail.
TI Qureshi said that More is the brother of a girl with whom deceased Shubham studied in a PMT coaching. In his statements he confirmed that it was More’s voice in the audio clip found in Shubham’s phone in which he was threatening him.
He said that he along with Dheeraj beat up Shubham after calling him to his house and left after threatening him.
TI Qureshi said that More is pursuing BE from LNCT College while Dheeraj is the driver of a school van.
Shubham was missing from his house since November 17 after he returned from More’s house and ventured out saying that he was going to attend his friend Prashant’s birthday party.
Later it came to fore that on that day it was neither Prashant’s birthday nor he was in the city.
Later the body of Shubham was recovered by the Ratibad police from the Upper Lake near Goragaon village near Suraj Nagar on Monday morning on the information of a fisherman.
The body was in highly decomposed state and seemed to be around 2-3 days old. The Ratibad police fished out the body and sent it for post-mortem examinations. z
The identity of the body was ascertained with the help of a coaching classes’ ID card found in the bag near the body.
Prima facie the case seems to be of suicide as no injury marks were seen but as the body was in highly decomposed state the situation would be clear once the post-mortem report was received.
Yadav’s kin alleged that on the same day he went out with a girl of his institute and was seen by the girl’s elder brother Rahul More.
