BHOPAL : Sub-Inspector Namita Sahu, a member of the Nirbhaya team and famously known as the ‘Lady Singham’ of the city has filed a complaint with DIG Shrinivas Verma against the Mahila Thana TI Pragya Namjoshi . Sahu was the talk-of-the-town when she was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her work personally on her mobile phone. Acting on her complaint the DIG transferred her to Hanumanganj police station.
In her complaint the she had pleaded for transfer of her posting from the Mahila Thana. She had stated that her immediate boss TI Joshi had developed a feeling of jealousy towards her due to her popularity. She had become a synonym of the Nirbhaya patrol and was often addressed by people as its chief.
TI Namjoshi talking to ‘Free Press’ rubbished the allegations made against her. She said that Sahu has never been a part of Mahila Thana. She was attached to the Nirbhaya squad. The squad is being operated in two shifts. She was a member of one shift. Regarding her posting she said that it is a matter to be decided by the higher officials.
