Petlawad : Three teachers for 916 students of Govt Mahaveer College show the pitiful state that the institution is in. These teachers are hardly able to do justice with their teaching duties as there are a large number of students to be taken care of.

The per teacher-student ratio in the college is 1:300, which spells about the critical condition of the college when it comes to education. The teaching staff with inclusion of the Principal stands at four and yet the college has introduced a BSc course which added 60 students recently. Ex MLA’s representative Ashish Mutha wrote a letter to the Higher Education Minister to inform him about the critical condition of the institution.

However there are 13 vacancies in the college which are yet to see suitable candidates. Mutha also vouched for appointment of a Vice Principal, librarian and sports faculty for the government college.
