Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In a surprising turn of events, former minister Imarti Devi touched the feet of a woman police officer to wish her on Holi. The incident took place in Dabra, where Imarti Devi visited Pichhore town’s TI (Town Inspector) Balwinder Dhillon.

The incident was also captured in a video, which surfaced on social media on Saturday. 

Seeing the former minister touch her feet, the TI was visibly shocked. However, Imarti Devi explained, “You are like my younger sister, and in our culture, we touch our younger sister’s feet as a mark of respect.”

‘Women should respect other women ’

A video of this unusual moment has now gone viral on social media. Speaking about the gesture, Imarti Devi said, “Women should respect other women. This is part of our Indian culture. The festival of Holi is about love and harmony, where people show respect and strengthen their bond.”

Imarti Devi is known for her unique style and bold statements. She has always been a prominent name in Madhya Pradesh politics and is a strong supporter of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Recently, another video of her scolding a police officer had also surfaced, keeping her in the political spotlight. Imarti Devi, who contested elections from the Dabra Assembly seat, lost in the last elections.
