Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh): We have often heard that love knows no boundary and makes its way to the end.
A strange case in Rajgarh seemed to pave the same path. A young boy and girl, who were allegedly distant siblings fell in love with each other.
Though, both were not aware of their relationship earlier. Both are residents of different villages and about 5 months ago, they met in a marriage function.
Notably, the 18-year-old youth is a resident of Rasulpura village. They exchanged their contact numbers at a marriage function where they met and no sooner fell in love.
On Sunday, the boy had come to meet the girl in a temple in Roshia village.
The girl's kin suspected something fishy and followed the girl to the temple.
They caught the young man and one of his friends, tied them to a tree, and thrashed them for almost 6 hours.
The girl, in an attempt to save her lover, tried to kill herself by consuming poison. Her family members rushed her to the hospital where she is under treatment.
"We freed the youth from the clutches of the villagers. We have registered a relevant case against the accused and started the investigation," said the police.
