Bhopal: BJP national president Amit Shah said the MP Assembly polls should not be taken likely as it was a Big Ticket event. The assembly polls (in MP) is very important as victory for the BJP in MP will pave the way for Narendra Modi to form the government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha elctions in 2019.
Shah was addressing booth level party workers through video conferencing in all the 230 Vidhan Sabha constituencies at a time on Monday. Madhya Pradesh victory will prepare the foundation for the party to make the government at the Centre under leadership of Modi, Shah added.
Shah alleged that the Congress was diverting the country’s politics in the wrong direction for the last 5 years. Elections should be contested on issues like development, poverty, unemployment etc but Congress is diverting the attention of public from these key issues. Booth level party workers are expected to clarify the picture by door-to-door contact, BJP national chief added.
“I joined BJP as booth level Samiti head and there are many party workers who are senior to me so they know how to contest the elections in a better way,” Shah added. Party workers must make the voters aware of the fact that Congress is trying to give a twist to the politics in wrong direction. Governments are not for political disputes and controversies. On the contrary, governments are for upliftment of living standard of the public. Workers should speak on this issue in public, BJP national chief added.
Shah further said, “Intruders in Assam and other pockets are the biggest challenge for the country. They are burden on the country’s economy. This is the reason, others are not getting due benefits and share in the country. After coming to power at the Centre, we constituted National Register of Citizens (NRC) and even at initial stage, 40 lakh infiltrators were identified. The day, list was released, Congress protested. If we form the government at Centre, we will kick the intruders out from all over the country.
Shah reiterated that five years is not sufficient time to make a solid economic policy for the country and to make country super power. Similarly, it is also not enough to make conducive atmosphere and take out country from shadow 70 -year misrule of Congress.
