Bhopal: Union minister for textile Smirti Irani has called upon the voters to give a befitting reply to Congress which brands women as items of decoration. She said it while addressing public meetings at various places. She visited Irahimganj (Bhopal North) to canvass in favour of BJP candidate Fatima Rasool Siddiqui, Narela(Bhopal) to canvass for of MoS Vishwas Sarang and Sehore to canvass in favour of BJP candidate Sudesh Rai, Hosangabad to canvass in favor of Sitasharan Sharma on Thursday.
Congress state president Kamal Nath had commented that Congress never allotted ticket to women on basis of their decoration. Congress always gives ticket to those who can win elections, Nath had added. His comment generated much heat in political circle at this stage when MP is going to poll on November 28.
Union minister Smriti Irani, at Ibrahimganj in favour of Fatima Rasool Siddiqui, said, “A daughter is contesting elections from Bhopal North. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan had done a lot for women empowerment. Nearly 27 lakh girls were benefited under Ladli Laxmi Yojana in Madhya Pradesh.
CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan (Mama) is making arrangement from birth to education and higher studies of girls. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh was “Bimaru” state. BJP made it developed state in last 15 days. Union minister further said, “Congress cheated people with its false promises. After Karnataka, Congress is doing the same thing in Madhya Pradesh. In Karnatka, farmers are being served notices after Congress promises of loan waive”.
Sartaj changed party for power: Smriti Irani
Hoshangabad: Textiles minister Smriti Irani who was in the district on Thursday said that Sartaj Singh who was PWD minister in the BJP government crossed over to the Congress for power. She made the above remark at a public meeting held near Ramji Baba tomb in the city in support of the BJP candidate and Speaker Dr Sitasaran Sharma. She also criticised the Congress saying that the party thinks that women are items of make-up. The Congress has always looted the country, so it cannot see development, Irani said. Sharma also criticised once his guru and rival Singh.
Absence of crowd irks Irani
Sehore: Union minister Smriti Irani was so angry that she finished her speech in seven minutes and did not mention name of party candidate from Sehore Suresh Rai. But she appealed to voters to support CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The main reason for her anger was lack of crowd at the meeting.
