Mandsaur : Arrangements have been started to bring the water of Chambal River to Mandsaur that will resolve the problem of water scarcity of many villages. To make further work plans in this regards, collector Swatantra Kumar Singh presided over the meeting of various officials and also inspected the Mahadev Mandir point situated at village Alvi in Sitamau tehsil area.
He said that this is best confluence of the river Chambal and Shivna and instructed the officials to prepare a DPR (detail project report) on drinking water project within 45 days.
Collector Singh further said that for the drinking water scheme all the essential infrastructures should be there on this site like intake well, powerhouse, approach road, foot over bridge etc. Moreover, he opined to develop this site as a picnic spot. This drinking water scheme would provide sufficient drinking water to all the villages of Mandsaur.
During this SDM Seetamau Nadiya, Janpad CEO Patidar, CMO municipality Himanshu Bhatta, nayab tehsildar Mishra and several other officials and villagers were present. Complaining about the problem of water logging in monsoon, villagers said that its difficult for them to reach village, to which collector assured them that an approach road would be constructed soon. He then instantly directed the janpad CEO to start the work under Panch Prmeshwar scheme or performance grant.
