Bhopal: The 3rd day of farmer’s stir passed without any untoward incident in the state, whereas the price of the vegetables rose and milk scarcity increased, in the cities. The agitation entered in the third day and at the outset the agitation seems to be unimpressive, but on ground it is affecting the common people.
The supplies of the vegetables and milk in the cities have been reduced by more than 50 percent and the vegetables rates have increased by two folds. Intelligence inputs show that the farmers are not reaching the market, out of self motivation. The farmers are prepared to get their dues through agitation mode and are ready to bear the losses.
Intelligence reports indicate that in coming days the scarcity of the vegetables increase by many folds and milk is likely to be out of market. The farmers are on a10 day’s agitation, since June 1-10. Their main demands amongst the four point demands are: to waive off the farmers loan, implementation of Swaminathan commission report related to MSP which BJP had promised to implement in its manifesto, monthly remuneration for marginal farmers and to establish an act to which provides for purchase all the produce of the farmers. Towards the end the agitations may reportedly go violent, if the government did not takes any action on the farmer’s demands.
