Bhopal: Shramodaya Vidyalayas have been set up in Rewa, Shahdol, Chhatarpur and Ratlam to provide quality education to the children of construction workers. The schools have been set up following from Chief Minister Kamal Nath. As many as 4480 children will be enrolled in these schools.
The Chief Minister gave instructions to make all arrangements for excellent education facilities for the children of labourers and also provide them job-oriented training. Each vidyalaya will accommodate at least 160 students from 6th to 12th class. Each Shramoday Vidyalaya will thus enrol 1120 students.
The state government has issued orders. The cost of construction on Shramodaya Vidyalayas will come around Rs 200 crores. On each school, Rs. 50 crores will be spent while annual operational cost will be Rs. 10 crore. Shramodya Vidyalayas will provide free of cost composite educational facilities, uniform, food and reading materials for the children.s
