Bhopal: The cabinet ministers of the Kamal Nath-led government look mediocre before the Chief Minister who has done a lot of work during the past two months. Nevertheless, his colleagues have so far failed to impress people, and since they have busied themselves with the transfer of officers, they have gone on the blink in terms of performance.

Nath made all his colleagues cabinet ministers, that they may take decisions on their own, under a new policy. Instead of running the government from the CM’s secretariat, he wanted to get the work done through ministers and principal secretaries. Because the ministers have failed to control their departments, Nath and his close aides are taking most of the decisions.

The issues being directly looked after by Nath are doing well, and the results of loan waiver scheme, Yuva Swabhimaan Yojna, old age pension and policy on weekly-off for policemen are before everybody. Nath wanted that his ministers get training for good governance, so that they may understand their work, but that is yet to happen. The proposed training had to take place on February 15.

During the training they would have informed about business rules; how to give reply to questions in the House; how to write notes on files; how to hold departmental meetings etc. Besides Nath, politicians and experts were supposed to impart training to the ministers.

According to director general of School of Good Governance R Parasuram, the chief minister wanted to give some information about the government to his colleagues. He said whenever the government would ask the institute would prepare it.
