BHOPAL: The Minister for urban administration, Maya Singh, replying to a question during the discussion on a call-attention motion here on Monday, told the House that the process of regularisation of illegal colonies across the state would begin within a month.
Mahendra Hardia had questioned the minister regarding regularisation of Indore’s Tulsinagar and had drawn the minister’s attention towards the inconvenience being faced by the residents.
Hardia said Tulsinagar was a regular colony but it has been declared illegal. The colony had relevant permissions from the revenue authorities and the civic body. He said drain water was flowing on the roads as the colony and thefts are taking place as the roads are enveloped in darkness in the night.
The minister, in her reply, said the land on which the colony had been built was reserved for park, sewerage lines and school building but plotting was done on it. Roads have been built in violation of the approved map. Due to irregularities, giving permission for building construction had become difficult.
Singh, however, said that relief would come soon as a proposal to regularise illegal colonies had been sent to the law department and a notification would be issued once it is approved.
She said even the chief minister is keen on framing of law in this matter. MLA Sudarshan Gupta told the House that plotting on government land is still going on. Minister said that if it is so then action would be taken.
