Bhopal: Ashoka Garden police have booked former minister and sitting Narela MLA Vishwas Sarang for allegedly inaugurating a park which was to be dedicated to public by minister PC Sharma on Tuesday. Sarang and his men allegedly inaugurated Sawmi Vivekanand theme park on Sunday night – two days ahead of its official inauguration- and even uprooted the plaque bearing the name of P C Charma law and legislative affairs minister, said a complaint lodged with the police.
Ashoka garden SHO Anoop Kumar Uikey said FIR has been registered against minister under Sections 353 and 427 of the IPC after Capital project administration (CPA) official lodged a complaint regarding. a SDO lodged a complaint. A sub divisional officer (SDO) rank officer Sanat Kumar field a complaint against Sarang stating that MLA illegally used his name for inauguration and so should be booked for it.
The plaque which carried name of minister was also removed from the site, the complaint read. Police are yet to question the MLA over the complaint they have received. Deputy inspector general (DIG) Bhopal Irshad Wali said the case has been registered with us. Now we will start an investigation into it, he added.
