Bhopal: Mediation can reduce pendency of cases in court, Justice Naolekar

BHOPAL: Mediation is increasing day by day in the world and Bhopal is the leading place in the nation, said former Lokayuakta Justice PP Naolekar in the closing ceremony of the 5th edition of the NLIU-INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament, on Sunday.

He also added that before going to court the parties should enter mediation, this will help them to understand better and this will also help to reduce the pendencies of cases in the court.

The three day event started off with the training session conducted on Friday. On second day the preliminary rounds were conducted followed by the cultural night. The cultural night was well attended with the performances of famous singer Vani Rao and popular Bhopal band Bandishein. This was followed by an open mic performance by the students of the college.

Justice Naolekar and former judge of the MP High Court Justice AK Gohil, were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively in the valedictory ceremony. Justice Naolekar congratulated the organising team for successfully hosting the tournament.

The mediator award was given to NALSAR, Hyderabad as well. The award for the Spirit of Tournament was given to American University of Afghanistan.
