Ratlam: A krishi sansad programme was organised here at Advania village under Ratlam district on Tuesday in which Ujjain divisional commissioner MB Ojha addressed the farmers.
Addressing the programme, Ojha said, “Agriculture activity can become profitable if farmers follow the principle of minimum cost and maximum sale price for which attempts are being made to educate farmers constantly.”
A farmer of the village Vinod narrated his experience of farming of Ashwagandha on one acre land which fetched him Rs 50,000, while cost of the farming was Rs 10,000.
Ojha said that other farmers should follow the example presented by the farmer in farming of Ashwagandha and earning good profits.
He said that agriculture is always best activity and old saying is true in which it is stated ‘Uttam Kheti and Madhya Baan’.
He said that Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan is also aimed at providing better marketing to farmers for their products and to educate them after listening to their problems and experiences.
District collector B Chandrashekhar said that farmers having one or two bigha of land can adopt milk production activity and gram samiti can be formed on the production of two hundred litres milk in a village.
He said that for milk production activity easy finance is also available from the bank.
In the krishi sansad demand was raised for construction of newlake in the village and deepening of the Amba Pala talab which was sanctioned on spot by the commissioner. District panchayat member Narain Maida also expressed his views in the krishi sansad.
