Bhopal: Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia got embroiled in a controversy over his representative Amit Tanware’s outrageous statement in which the latter had made an insulting remark against a local MLA. Scindia was scheduled to inaugurate trauma center in Ashok Nagar, however, MLA Gopilal Jatav instead inaugurated it and got his name etched on the foundation stone.
Jatav’s action fumed Scindia’s supporters and in a fit of rage, Tanware demanded the trauma centre to be washed and sanctified by Gangajal. His statement kicked off a political storm across the state and on Sunday BJP’s Anusuchit Jati Morcha passed censure motion against Scindia. Distancing himself from Tanware’s statement, embarrassed Scindia on Sunday sacked him from the post of his representative and has sought his immediate removal from party. Meanwhile, MLA Jatav on Sunday started a hunger strike stating that Tanware’s statement was an affront to his community.
Taking strong objection to the outrageous remark of Tanware, the BJP has decided to hold protest and burn Scindia’s effigy on Monday. BJP State president Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan will participate in the protest in Ashok Nagar. Terming it to be an insult to dalit community, Chouhan said that the statement has exposed the real face of Scindia. The district president of Congress Gajram Singh Yadav said that the BJP was trying to frame party leader for political mileage. Scindia himself had invited Jatav in the programme and also got his name included in foundation stone, claimed Yadav.
Congress party will not tolerate any act of indiscipline but the way BJP is taking things out of context is very unfortunate, said Yadav.
