Bhopal: The IPL betting racket mastermind Girish Talreja has been arrested in Mumbai by immigration officials on Friday. A betting racket that was busted in Bhopal during the IPL season where 30 men were arrested and money and transaction details were seized in different raids. Talreja’s name surfaced in those raids and cops issued a red corner notice against him.
On Friday as he was detained by the sleuths of immigration department at Mumbai airport. However, it is not yet known as to where was he coming from. Superintendent of police (SP) south Sampat Upadhyay said that the accused was linked to the betting den in Bhopal and after he is brought to Bhopal, he will be quizzed to find out others who assisted him in it. A team of police has left for Mumbai to bring him to Bhopal, he added.
