Bhopal: A few months before the elections, the pace has begun to hot up as the BJP and the Congress leaders have intensified their campaign. The programmes of Congress state president Kamal Nath and MP Jyotiraditya Scindia are also witnessing large turnout similar to that of jan ashirwaad yatra taken out by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The turnout in their programmes has jollied up the Congress and the BJP.

They are also confused about the large number of people attending their programmes of their rivals. One of the main reasons behind the presence of large number of people in the programmes of the BJP and the Congress was ticket seekers’ attempt to show their clout.

The leaders seeking ticket are hiring crowd for the events of these leaders. The crowd in the programmes of the BJP and Congress was arranged under the pressure of some leaders.  Jan ashirwaad yatra has so far witnessed heavy turnout. The presence of people in large numbers was also seen in the areas where BJP could not win for long time.

Large number of people gathered in jan ashirwaad yatra in Raghogarh, constituency of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Guna, parliamentary constituency of MP Jyotiraditya Scindia and Lahar, constituency of former minister Govind Singh.

As far as Nath is concerned, his public meetings in Maihar, Dhar, Rajpur and Narsinghpur witnessed huge crowd. Thousands of people gathered in the meetings and road shows of Scindia in Bundelkhand. The Nyaya Yatra of the leader of opposition Ajay Singh in Sagar too witnessed a huge gathering.

Sagar is known a BJP bastion, but the presence of huge public in Congress rallies is a cause for worry for the BJP leaders. Nath is continuously leveling the allegations that people coming to the jan ashirwaad Yatra were hired. According to legislative affairs minister Narottam Mishra, the willful presence of people in large numbers in jan ashirwaad yatra is an outcome of the benefits given to the poor through government schemes, popularity of Chief Minister and because of the BJP cadre.
