BHOPAL: Police arrested two final year engineering students accused of supplying charas on Monday evening at Gandhi Nagar here. The police while nabbing them confiscated about 768 grams of charas from their possession having a market value of Rs 1.78 lakh.
According to police, accused Abhishek Kumar and Anand Vibhor, both aged 23, were nabbed near Gandhi Nagar trisection on basis of a tip-off. The police rounded-up their motorbike on which they were traveling. After stopping them they searched them and found charas from their possession. The two were brought to the police station for further questioning during which they confessed to supplying charas just to earn some easy money.
The police after arresting the two booked them under sections 8 and 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Investigations were on to find any other accused involved with the two, the police added.
