Bhopal: Air passengers created ruckus at the Raja Bhoj airport when Air India (AI) flight 9i 864 for Raipur, which was scheduled to depart at 10.00 am, was cancelled at the eleventh hour due to technical snag on Tuesday. 62 air passengers who were to fly to Raipur and Hyderabad were peeved with the fiasco. Lodging their protest, they said that they should have been intimated well before they arrived at airport. Fight (9i 864) developed technical snag so it could not take off.
According to one of the aggrieved passengers, “Lethargic attitude on part of the Air India officials added insult to their injury.” Passengers trouped to the authority and lodged the protest over last moment cancellation of flight. “However, Air India officials did not bother themselves in clarifying the situation to passengers,” said another anguished passenger. However, some of the passengers cancelled their tickets and made booking for the next flight as per their convenience.
