Bhopal: Thousands of students had to suffer because of careless attitude of Barkatullah University management. The students of M.Com first semester were distributed wrong paper on Tuesday. However, the exam was cancelled later and new dates will be announced soon.
Students of M.Com reached their exam centres in the morning to write Cost Analysis and Control paper but they were taken aback when they were distributed Business Environment question paper- which was held on February 7. Chaos prevailed in the examination hall as the students sought clarity on the matter but the invigilators were unable to resolve their queries.
However, after a short span of ruckus in the college, teachers asked the students to wait until they get a response from the university. It took more than a hour and several phone calls before the students were told that the examination is cancelled.
“At our centre at Career College only more than 500 students appeared for the examination.
Incidentally it was the last paper for M.Com students and we had made plans to go back to our native places after the paper. We have to get our tickets cancelled and change plans at the last moment,” said Muntazir Khan, from Career College. Other students said the university officials were unable to decide on the date for holding the exam again.
They said that the new date will uploaded at the university’s website. Students of this course have demanded to hold the paper as soon as possible. BU Exam controller said that a probe will done to fix the accountability. A meeting of the concerned officials will be held in the evening to decide on next date of exam, he added.
