Bhopal: 19-yr-old married woman commits suicide

Bhopal: Newly married woman hanged self at her house after dispute with her husband under Bag Sewania police station on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 19-year-old married woman Khushi took the extreme step for not allowing to visit her parents by her husband.

As soon as the family members spotted her hanging in their house, they rushed her to JP Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead and police were informed about the incident.

According to SHO Lalit Singh, the deceased has been identified as Khushi, 19, wife of Kamlesh Soni, who hailed from Vidisha district and was living in H No 642 in Amrai Parisar along with husband and in-laws.

She was married to Kamlesh around two years ago and they didn’t have any children. Her husband is a labourer and a habitual drinker. Disputes used to take place between the couple frequently as deceased’s husband didn’t allow Khushi to visit her parents. On Tuesday night also they had a dispute over the same issue.

Later, all the family members went to sleep after taking dinner together and at around 1 am when her husband woke up, he spotted her wife hanging from the ceiling. He along with family members rushed her to JP Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. No suicide note was found in the room and dispute between the couple seemed to be the reason for her suicide.

A case under Section 174 of CrPC has been registered and her body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
