BHOPAL : A 45-year-old employee of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, who was depressed over receiving less amount bonus as compared to his co-workers committed suicide by hanging himself in his room at Asra Avenue near Nizamuddin Colony within the limits of Piplani police station area on Thursday night.
Investigation officer SI Anil Tiwari said that the deceased has been identified as Baratilal Nareti, 45, son of Inder Singh Nareti, resident of Asra Avenue, near Nizamuddin Colony. He was an employee at BHEL and was heavily addicted to alcohol. On Thursday night he reached home drunk around 10.30 pm and said to his wife that he received less amount as bonus from the company as compared to his co-workers. His wife was preparing food in the kitchen so she ignored his words. He went into his room and she thought he fell asleep. Around 1.30 am when she reached the room she saw him hanging by the ceiling by the PVC pipe used for water pump. She called for help following which kin and neighbours rushed for help and took Narelit to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police following the information reached the spot and after registering a case sent the body for post-mortem examinations.
In another incident a 31-year-old clerk posted in Technical Education Department at Vallabh Bhawan within the limits of Jehangirabad police station died of heart attack on Friday afternoon.
According to police deceased Dinesh Jamra, 31, son of Bhal Singh, resident of Dhar, was currently staying at 80-Feet Road in Ashoka Garden area. On Friday afternoon around 1pm he was rushed to JP hospital from the office after he complained pain in the chest and restlessness. He died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
