Lahore : Some 270 Pakistani woman doctors and medical students here have filed a police complaint alleging that a gang blackmailed them after stealing personal data from their Facebook profiles and mobile phones.

The girl students and doctors from several hospitals and medical colleges have approached the police and Federal Investigation Agency through the Young Doctors Association (YDA) providing them phone numbers of the gang members who have been harassing them and extorting money from them for quite sometime. “As some of the girls mustered courage to report the matter to police, others followed suit,” YDA Secretary General Dr Salman Kazmi said. He said the YDA on behalf of 270 woman doctors and girl students have filed an FIR against three unknown persons.
