Islamabad : A security guard was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen at a school on Monday in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
The attack took place at the Government High School in Sarwar Wali on the outskirts of Dera Ghazi Khan city, Geo News reported.
According to sources, the security guard of the school was shot dead when the gunmen entered the school by jumping over the rear wall of the building and opened fire.
Police personnel soon reached the location and engaged the attackers in a gunfight, but the attackers managed to escape.
Students and teachers were safe inside the building, officials said. Police said the incident was not related to terrorism but might be a matter of personal dispute.
