Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the large-scale implementation of the Farmer Registry across the state, emphasizing that the registration of all farmers must be ensured on a priority basis.
He instructed that special camps be organized in every Gram Panchayat at the earliest to connect farmers with the Farmer Registry, so that no eligible farmer is left out of the system.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is developing the Farmer Registry as an integrated benefit delivery system in the agriculture sector. He said, "Under this, all beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Agriculture Department and other related departments are being linked to the Farmer Registry, enabling farmers to access multiple scheme benefits in a simple and streamlined manner using a single identity."
He directed that if there are any errors or discrepancies in beneficiaries’ names or records in schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance schemes, and others, they should be linked with Aadhaar and corrected on priority.
He also emphasized ensuring that every eligible farmer is issued a Farmer Identity Card, so that there are no obstacles in benefit distribution and eligibility verification becomes easier.
The Chief Minister instructed the Agriculture Department to establish the necessary technical infrastructure within the stipulated timeline to link all its schemes with the Farmer Registry and to make the departmental portal fully operational by May 1, 2026. He added, "This will enable a digital and integrated system for beneficiary selection and benefit distribution."
He further directed that allied departments such as horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, cooperation, and minor irrigation should coordinate with the Agriculture Department to incorporate the use of the Farmer Identity Card in their schemes and complete all necessary preparations by May 31, 2026, ensuring a uniform system across departments.
The Chief Minister said, "The process of linking farmers with schemes through the Farmer Registry will become more effective, eliminating unnecessary complexities in accessing benefits. This will also enable targeted utilization of resources and facilitate better distribution of essential agricultural inputs during special circumstances."
He added, "The implementation of this system will ensure transparent delivery of scheme benefits to farmers and make it easier to review cases where a single beneficiary may be receiving repeated benefits."
The Chief Minister directed all concerned departments to treat this task with seriousness, complete it within the stipulated timeline, and ensure regular monitoring.
