Realme 16 5G has finally launched in India, and it arrives as the more accessible sibling to the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. While the Pro models bring Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 200-megapixel cameras with ZEISS-tuned optics, the standard Realme 16 5G opts for the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a notably larger 7,000mAh battery. It also brings a unique design element to the lineup with an industry-first selfie mirror integrated into the rear camera bar.
Realme 16 5G price in India
The Realme 16 5G is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, Rs. 33,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, and Rs. 36,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. The phone is available in two colour options - Air Black and Air White, both featuring a Gleaming Wings finish that creates a shifting effect under light, along with an anti-fingerprint coating.
Realme 16 5G is currently available for pre-order via Flipkart and Realme's online store, with the first sale going live on April 5. As a launch offer, buyers can avail no-cost EMI options for up to 12 months, a Rs. 2,000 bank-based instant discount, or a Rs. 6,000 exchange bonus.

The Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, HDR support, and up to 4,200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo 6nm processor, paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. The phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, with Realme promising three OS upgrades and four years of security patches. For thermal management, it features a 6,050mm2 Airflow VC cooling system.
On the camera front, the Realme 16 5G carries a dual rear camera system comprising a 50-megapixel primary Sony sensor with OIS and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, accompanied by a circular LED ring flash. A distinctive selfie mirror is embedded into the rear camera bar, allowing users to frame themselves accurately when using the main camera for self-portraits. The front camera is a 50-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. AI Portrait Star is supported for AI-enhanced portrait photography.
The phone is backed by a 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery with 60W wired fast charging support, with Realme claiming six-year fluency protection for the battery unit. The Realme 16 5G carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and is built with what the company calls an AirCraft Structure to optimise internal space and energy density. It measures 158.3x75.1x8.1mm and weighs 183g. Connectivity includes 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, an infrared sensor, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with 300 percent volume boost, and USB Type-C.
