Quinton de Kock seems unstoppable in the ICC World Cup 2023 as the South Africa opener brought up his third hundred in this edition during the ongoing match against Bangladesh at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
De Kock brought up his 20th ODI hundred and third in the last five games to join an elite list of cricketers in World Cup history.
De Kock is second on the list of most World Cup centuries for the Proteas behind AB de Villiers (4) and equalled Mark Waugh (1996), Sourav Ganguly (2003), Matthew Hayden (2007) and David Warner (2019) for the most tons in a single edition of the tournament.

De Kock hits purple patch in CWC 2023
Notably, de Kock has now converted each of his five 50-plus scores into hundreds in ODIs in India. He equalled Saeed Anwar's tally of 20 tons and is joint-15th on the list of most centuries in one-day internationals.
The 30-year-old, who will be retiring from the format after this World Cup, is also the highest scorer in this edition now after overtaking Virat Kohli's tally of 354 runs from five ODIs.
QDK on fire
De Kock is well on his way to become the first batter to reach the 400-run mark in this World Cup. He's scored 100 (vs Sri Lanka), 109 (vs Australia), 20 (vs Netherlands), 4 (vs England) in his last four innings in this tournament.
15 batters have smashed centuries in this edition so far with de Kock being the only one to hit more than one.
De Kock brought up his century in the 36th over of South Africa's innings to take the team past the 200-run mark after they won the toss and opted to bat first in Mumbai.
Proteas go past 300 again
He was eventually dismissed for 174 by Hasan Mahmud in the 46th over. QDK is now sitting on top of the highest scorer's list in this World Cup with 407 runs from 5 ODIs at an average of over 101 with 3 tons and this being his best effort so far.
His knock, along with fifties from Heinrich Klaasen (90) and interim captain Aiden Markram (60) helped the Proteas post a mammoth 382 for 5 in 50 overs.
This is the fourth time that South Africa have posted a score over 300 in this World Cup after 311/7 vs Australia, 399/7 vs England and 428/5 vs Sri Lanka.
