Mumbai : Rayna Saldanha from Goenka Education Trust and Neel Roy from Khar Gymkhana outshone all the swimmers on the concluding day of the GMAAA Aquatic championships, held at Tata Swimming pool, Chembur here on Monday.
Both aggregated 35 points each and both won five gold apiece in the Under-14 category.
Neel created new marks in all the five events that he took part. While Rayna succeeded in rewriting three records.
Otter Club’s Ishaan Mehra and Khar Gymkhana’s Jason Smith took the honours in the Under-17 section. Ishaan won four golds – all with new records – to aggregate 33 points, while Jason had three recording-breaking firsts and was credited with equalising two. In the girls section, Khar Gymkhana’s Monique Gandhi, who topped girls Under-17, had to rest contend with three gold and two silvers with two new records. Meanwhile, in the girls Under-12 section, Radio Club’s Kenisha Gupta emerged best with four gold with three new marks, while Matunga Gymkhana’s Palak Dhami dominated the girls–IV section, with 35 points to her credit.
