Mumbai: Golden girl Goldi Shahi, of SAI aggregated 23 points – highest among all the categories –  having won  four golds and a silver – was awarded the YA Gole award for being the Best women Athlete in the Bombay YMCA State Level Athletic Championships, which concluded at the Sports Authority of India  Complex.

Being a heptathlon,  Goldi excelled in the sprints –  gold in the 100m (13.0 secs), 800m  (2:23.4 secs) as well as in  long jump and  shot put alongwith a a silver in the javelin throw.Thane’s Nidhi Singh, who aggregated 20 by winning golds in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m in the girls under-16 section. However, Srushti Shetty from Children’s Academy, created new records in the 1oom and long jump. Srushti also set a new mark in the long jump event with a leap of 32.96 mts.

To Kshiutj Bhoitek, of Thane’s Seven Stars, goes the credit of setting new marks in the 200m as well as the long jump record in the boys under-16 section.
