A shocking incident of kidnapping came to light from the Bibwewadi Police jurisdiction in Pune, where a diamond trader was kidnapped by unknown assailants in broad daylight on Monday.
The incident took place on Pune-Satara Road in Bibwewadi. The kidnapped person has been identified as Tithal Jitendra Shah (35), a resident of Bibwewadi.
According to information, the victim, Tithal Jitendra Shah, and his wife went to pick up their daughter from a school situated in the Gultekdi area (Salisbury Park) in two different vehicles.
Shah went to the school on a two-wheeler (Black Activa scooty), and his wife went in a Kia car.
Shah received his daughter and handed her over to his wife in the car, saying he had some work in the Camp area.

Wife asked to pay 2 crore
In the evening, his wife received an unknown call on her mobile phone, threatening her to arrange 2 crore rupees as her husband had been kidnapped. The kidnappers warned her and said they would call again soon.
DCP Rajkumar Shinde (Zone 5), speaking to Free Press Journal, said, "A dedicated team has been deployed for the search operation. We are also analyzing the CCTV footage. The victim was operating his business from his home, having previously run it in Mumbai. He recently settled in Pune. Based on the CCTV clues, we are investigating the matter."
