Mumbai : Two fake train ticket examiners were caught collecting fine from the passengers of Diva-Sawantwadi train by on-duty railway police officers on Monday. The accused have been identified as Sidhesh Davele (24) and Sumit Advade (25) and have been booked for cheating and forgery and under 141 Railway Act.
The railway police officers caught both the accused on suspicion in coach D1 and D2 before arrival of Aapta station. One of the accused reportedly tried to flee on reaching the station, however, he was caught and both of them were taken to the Railway police force for investigation.
Investigation revealed that the duo used to pose as Konkan Railway ticket examiners. Further, they used to take a chart from the station master and illegally collect fine from the passengers. The Rasayani police have booked them under sections 420, 467, 468 and 34 of Indian Penal Code along with 141 Railway Act.
