Akola: In a shocking incident from Akola, an Assistant Police Sub-Inspector (ASI) has been suspended for allegedly demanding sexual favours and asking a woman in custody to send her daughter to him. The woman was arrested in the case about an Rs 80 lakh fraud, where two accused were arrested, two from Palghar, and kept in the Civil Lines police lockup.
According to the Lokmat report, the Assistant Police Sub-Inspector, identified as Rajesh Jadhav, allegedly asked the arrested woman and said, "Give me your daughter, I will give you Rs 10,000 and make efforts to save you from the criminal charges."
A video shared by LS Marathi showed a senior police officer confronting ASI Rajesh Jadhav, reprimanding him over the alleged demand for sexual favours.
According to a report by Lokmat, the Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Rajesh Jadhav has been suspended for tarnishing the image of the police force.
In another incident, in Dombivali, a disturbing incident at a well-known school in the Sagav area triggered anger and concern among residents, raising serious questions about safety within educational spaces. A teacher from the institution alleged harassment, leading to police action and public protests.
According to NDTV Marathi, the accused, identified as the son of the school trustee, allegedly sent repeated obscene messages and videos to the teacher. The victim claimed that the communication went beyond inappropriate behaviour and involved pressure for a physical relationship.
The accused was brought in from his residence and detained for further questioning. Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter, including recording the victim’s statement and examining evidence linked to the allegations.
