Mumbai : Former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan has been appointed to the Rules Committee of the Maharashtra Assembly. Speaker Haribhau Bagde announced the appointments on the Rules Committee and Request Note Committee on Friday. Suman Patil who won the Tasgaon by-poll recently has been appointed as one of the members of the Request Note Committee.
Bagde is the ex-officio chairman of both the committees. Along with Chavan, BJP’s Prashant Thakur, Adv. Ashish Shelar, Atul Bhatkhalkar, Narendra Pawar have been accommodated as members of the Rules Committee. Dr Patangrao Kadam from the Congress and Dilip Sopal from NCP too have been nominated as the members of the committee.
