No Rath Yatra At Shivaji Park

Mumbai : The Bombay High Court on Thursday rejected the petition to hold the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra at Shivaji Park stating that the ground can only be allotted for designated purposes. A division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice A K Menon was hearing the petition filed by a member of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) seeking direction to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to permit them to hold the yatra on February 21 at Shivaji Park.
