For the NMMC area, a total of 20 inspection teams are in operation, each comprised of a laboratory technician and an assistant laboratory technician. In this system, blood samples are collected by the assistant technician, while the laboratory technician determines the blood group. On the first day of blood grouping, 4,303 students underwent testing.

Teachers Given Full Responsibility

The responsibility of ensuring that all students undergo blood group testing lies with the school teachers, who have been directed to ensure that all current students participate. The Health Department is entrusted with conducting the blood group tests and forwarding the results to the Center Coordinator of the Education Department, endorsed by the Nodal Officer/Pathologist. Importantly, this blood group testing is provided free of charge.
