Mumbai : With a view to imbibe the feeling of social responsibility in youths, a prominent Marathi daily ‘Navshakti’, has organised ‘Navshakti Sanmansandhya’ programme to be held at Savarkar Memorial Hall in Dadar on Friday, September 26. Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao will grace the event in which Mukesh Sharma, Additional Director General of Doordarshan, Naresh Dahibawkar, President of Brihanmumbai Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal Samanvay Samiti and some other sparkling gems from the society will be honoured with the awards.
Daily Navshakti had organised ‘Navshakti Ganesh Darshan’ contest this year and prize winning Ganesh Mandals will also be felicitated in this event. The first prize of Rs 1 lakh was won by the ‘Ichchapurti Ganesh Mandal’ from Fort while second and third prizes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 were won by Kharibawdi Balgopal Mitramandal (Mahalakshmi) and Raigad Chowk Mandal (Ghatkopar) respectively. The special attraction of the event will be the presentation of ‘Yuva Tarang’ programme in which world renowned tabla player Ustad Faizal Qureshi’s disciple Atharva Kulkarni and renowned singer Ashvini Bhide-Deshpande’s disciple Swarangi Marathe, actor Ajay Kamble, painter Prathmesh Pawar, keyboardist Zankar Kanade, organ player Adinath Patkar, dancer Bhakti Bhatwadekar and Swara Kulkarni and others will present their skills.
LIC, Indian Oil, Punjab & Maharashtra Co-operative Bank, ‘Anuved Soap’ are the co-sponsors of this programme.
