In order to speed up the development work in Navi Mumbai Airport Notified Influenced Area (NAINA), the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has appealed to the land owners coming under Town Development Plan (TDP) number 4 to 11 of NAINA to submit their consent letter within 10 days.
The planning agency claimed that for those who submit maximum consent letters at the earliest, the concerned plan will be implemented at priority.
“CIDCO has appealed to landowners for quick consent in order to fast track the implementation of town development plans and further the NAINA project. This step will also benefit the landowners as they will able to undertake development works on the land allotted to them and gain positive demand for those land at the earliest,” said Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, vice chairman and managing director of CIDCO.
CIDCO will be developing a modern and well-planned city through the NAINA project over the surrounding area of the airport admeasuring 672 sq. km. The development will be carried out in 23 villages mentioned in the layout of the approved Interim Development Plan through 11 Town Development Plans (TDP). Among them, TDP 1 to 3 are approved and are being implemented at various levels.
“Landowners coming under town development plans will get 40% developed plot from the original land they surrender. The carpet area will be the same as the original total land. Thus, landowners will gain complete returns on their lands. CIDCO will develop roads, playgrounds, schools, gardens, growth centres, etc. facilities over the remaining 60% land. Landowners will surely get 40% of their land, even if the land is affected by any reservation,” said an official from CIDCO. Villagers whose lands are coming under the TDP 4 to 11 can submit their consent letter to NAINA office in Belapur.
