Mumbai: A 22-year-old youth has been arrested by the Powai police for allegedly uploading the nude video of his girlfriend on a pornographic website thereby outraging her modesty. The arrested accused has been identified as Vijay Patil, said to be an Andheri resident. According to Powai police, Patil works in Seepz area of Andheri (East). A fortnight ago, he had asked the girl to remove her clothes while on video call.

“The duo frequently used to converse in this manner and the girl acted accordingly. She was unaware Patil, along with video chat, was recording. Later, the accused allegedly uploaded the video on a pornographic website. The girl came to know about it from her friends. Later, she lodged an FIR,” said a senior cop, requesting anonymity.

“After a series of investigation, Patil was arrested on Wednesday and he shall be produced in a court on Thursday. A case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. Further investigation is underway,” added the officer.
