A total of 66,078 people have applied for the MHADA lottery this year. Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is going to allot 217 houses in Mumbai this year through lottery. This lottery will be held on June 2.
Among these 217 houses, 47 are for Middle Income Groups (MIG). The rest 170 will be allotted to applicants belonging to lower income groups. Out of these 217 houses, 46 are located in Powai while the rest are located at Chembur Shell tower in Shahkar Nagar.
Last year, 1,384 apartments were allotted to people through MHADA lottery in December, 2018. Out of these, 989 homes were up for sale under Economically Weaker Section (EWS) while 210 flats were up for sale under middle-income Group (MIG) section. 194 flats were sold under Higher Income Group (HIG) category. The list of the winners of MHADA lottery will be announced at MHADA’s official website mhada.gov.in on June 2.
