Was not aware of Raj Kundra's work: Shilpa Shetty to Mumbai police

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty in a statement to Mumbai police claimed she was not aware of her husband Raj Kundra's activities as she was busy with her work, according to a supplementary charge sheet filed by the city police in a court here in connection with a case pertaining to pornographic films.

Shetty's statement is part of the nearly 1,500-page charge sheet filed before a magistrate court on Wednesday by the police against Kundra, 46, and his associate Ryan Thorpe.

Maha govt mulls setting up special courts to deal with human trafficking cases

The Maharashtra government is contemplating to set up special courts to ensure justice to victims of immoral human trafficking, state Women and Child Development Minister Yashomati Thakur said on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters after a high-level review meeting, Thakur said there have been complaints about human trafficking from other states.

Jiah Khan suicide case: Court rejects CBI request for further probe

A special CBI court here on Thursday dismissed petitions seeking permission for further probe in Bollywood actor Jiah Khan's alleged suicide.

The trial in the case is already underway.

The petitions had been filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation and Jiah's mother Rabiya Khan.
