In a shocking incident, on Thursday a 22-year-old man and his friend were allegedly thrashed by four men after he warned them to stop stalking and molesting his 17-year-old sister.
According to Hindustan Times, in the case, Powai police have so far arrested two of the accused and are in the lookout for other two accused. The four accused have been identified as Nadim, Dabar, Sikander and Prashant. The four accused since December used to pass comments on her and made sexual advances towards her every day, near a garden at Bamanpada bus stop. The girl told the cops that for two months Nadim stalked her and told her that he loves her and asked for her number.
But in January, the girl complained regarding the same to her parents and after which her brother confronted and warned them of police action. The gang stopped stalking the girl for 10-15 days, but on February 2, Nadim showed up again and asked the girl that why did she inform her brother. The scared girl ran home and narrated the entire incident to her parents. On February 7, the girl got a call from her brother who told her he and his friend had been assaulted by four accused. The accused used iron rods to beat up the man and also slashed his face, back, hands and stomach with a blade. The girl’s brother was rushed to a hospital after which Powai police registered an FIR.
