The Bharatiya Janata Party's OBC front on Thursday staged a statewide agitation to demand reservation for the OBC community.
The agitation demanded that the state government should immediately set up a Backward Class Commission and take immediate action to save the reservation on the basis of the report by conducting a district-wise survey on the population of the OBC community.
BJP resorted to agitation after the Supreme Court struck down 27% of political reservation for the OBC community in local bodies.
Already, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has criticized the Maha Vikas Aghadi government for its inability to protect the quota for the OBC community.
