Mumbai: 24 years later, absconding kidnapper held

According to police, a girl was kidnapped on February 26, 1994 with an intention to push her into prostitution.

Mumbai: Over 24 years after a girl was kidnapped and pushed into the flesh trade, police arrested the accused woman who had skipped parole on Wednesday.

According to police, a girl was kidnapped on February 26, 1994 with an intention to push her into prostitution. A case of kidnapping was lodged at DN Nagar police station. Soon, two women were arrested and minor victim girls were rescued.

The accused Shamimbanu sayyed Abdul sayyed (30) was arrested and released on bail by court the same year. After getting a bail, she didn’t turn up for the trial, and the court declared her absconder. On Wednesday, the accused was arrested at Nirmal Nagar, Bandra E.
