Mumbai: MHADA to get lottery houses in Bhendi Bazar redevelopment project

Mumbai: The congested Bhendi Bazar cluster revamp project is set to improve the standard of living of the tenants residing in century old buildings and also provide houses in South Mumbai to the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), which will be put up in the lottery scheme to generate revenue.

This project has been undertaken by the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT). D K Jagdale, Chief Officer of Mumbai Repairs and Reconstruction Board (MRRB) said, the construction of lottery houses will begin once the houses are handed over to the original tenants. The ambitious cluster revamp project will provide new houses to 2,800 families. – Staff Reporter
