Palghar, Mahrashtra: Forget parrots, folks! The internet's gone absolutely bonkers over a feathered friend in Palghar who's seemingly skipped straight out of a fairy tale! A video of a crow mimicking human speech has gone viral, leaving netizens and locals alike utterly gobsmacked.

This chatty corvid has been captured on camera repeatedly uttering "Papa, Papa, Papa," in a voice that sounds remarkably… well, human! The clip, widely shared across platforms like Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, has sparked a flurry of amazed reactions, with many struggling to believe their eyes (and ears).

The extraordinary footage was first spotlighted on Instagram by 'sneekspot.media.' Their post revealed the tale of Tanuja Mukne, a resident of a remote area in Wada Taluka, Palghar. Three years ago, Ms. Mukne discovered an injured crow in her garden and nursed it back to health over a fortnight.

Now, in a twist that has astounded the entire village, the once-injured bird communicates with Ms. Mukne's family using a voice uncannily like our own. This truly unusual incident has become the talk of the town, drawing curious onlookers and even piquing the interest of avian experts.

The talking bird has become an instant sensation online, with some dubbing it a "miracle of nature" and others playfully suggesting it's simply the "smartest crow ever." While parrots are famed for their vocal mimicry, this crow's apparent ability has even seasoned ornithologists scratching their heads in delightful surprise. Who knew a crow could be such a gabby Gus?!

Adding to the intrigue, BBC Marathi also featured the vocal crow on their YouTube channel. Their caption identified the bird's location as Gargaon in Palghar and elaborated that the crow, after being treated for injuries by Ms. Mukne a few years ago and subsequently growing up in her home, now utters a small vocabulary of Marathi words including "Kaka" (uncle), "Baba" (father), and "Mummy."

This remarkable story serves as a delightful reminder that the natural world is full of surprises. While we're still trying to figure out exactly how this loquacious little bird learned to speak, one thing's for sure: this Palghar crow has definitely earned its fifteen minutes (and counting!) of internet fame, proving that sometimes, the most unbelievable stories are the ones that are absolutely true. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to teach our pigeons to order pizza.
